About Madcap Prints

Hi! We’re Sam and Jake, the team behind Madcap Prints. We’re passionate about bringing unique and creative designs to life through 3D printing, right here in northern Michigan. We create a variety of home items, from office supplies and organizational pieces to fun and functional hobby-related products. Jake’s background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on manufacturing and the automotive industry, provides the technical know-how, while Sam’s experience as a high school English teacher adds a creative and detail-oriented touch. We truly enjoy the creative process and the challenge of creating solutions for everyday people. From designing and printing to packaging and shipping, we handle every step of the process ourselves. We’re also busy parents of four and share our home with a very spoiled cat. Thanks for supporting our small business!

Our Story

Madcap Prints started as a spark of an idea – a way for us to combine our skills and passions into something tangible. Jake had always been fascinated by the possibilities of 3D printing, and Sam, with her love for design and problem-solving, saw the potential to create beautiful and practical items for the home. We began experimenting in our spare time, tinkering with designs and learning the intricacies of the printing process. What began as a hobby quickly grew into a passion, and we realized we could share our creations with others.
